How to join a Facebook group as a business page
I thought they’d be eager and willing to jump right in!
Here’s the problem: it can be really difficult and confusing for your members (or you!) to join a Facebook group as a page – especially one that you already personally belong to – as a page.
You might have had this same problem… which is why I’m going over some instructions below.
The trick is to switch your profile first.
Here’s how to do it.
Before completing the following steps, you’ll need to make sure you have access as admin to the profile you’d like to use. If you don’t have access, you won’t be able to join a group as a page.
(Note: directions below are shown using a desktop.)
On a desktop, click on the small triangle in the upper right hand corner.
Once you open it, click on the arrow next to Switch Profile.
Select the profile of the page with which you want to join the group.
Navigate to the group you’d like to join and click Join Group.
At this point, you may be given other page options as to how to join the group, if you are an admin of multiple pages.
Select the correct page:
Answer the membership questions (if there are any).
Once approved, you can post as the page, or as yourself.
To switch, just navigate to your profile picture in the upper right corner. Click on it to toggle between your personal profile and a page profile:
